KUALA LUMPUR: A man has been detained in connection with a hit-and-run accident on the Bukit Jalil Highway that resulted in the death of a seven-year-old girl and injuries to her parents.
Incident Timeline
The collision, which took place at 9:50pm on Nov 15, caused the victims to be thrown from their motorcycle. Nearby bystanders helped rush the family to the hospital, where the young girl tragically succumbed to her injuries.

“The case is being submitted to the State Prosecution Office to secure charges under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987,” ACP Mohd Zamzuri reported.

A dashboard camera captured the incident in a 28-second video that has gone viral on Facebook. The footage reveals a luxury car speeding into a motorcycle, halting briefly, and then fleeing.
