PETALING JAYA: Eco World Development Group Bhd (EcoWorld Malaysia) has confirmed the sale of 32.9 acres of industrial land in Johor to Deye New Energy for RM119 million.

The transaction involves land within Eco Business Park II in Senai, Iskandar Malaysia, according to EcoWorld Malaysia’s official announcement.

Increasing Investment in EcoWorld Business Parks

EcoWorld Malaysia’s deputy CEO, Liew Tian Xiong, remarked that this deal highlights the ongoing attractiveness of Eco Business Parks to Chinese industrialists, particularly in high-tech and emerging sectors.

Deye’s Contribution to Green Technology

“Deye, a top producer of solar photovoltaic systems, is an ideal partner for us, given our commitment to supporting companies that drive sustainable development,” Liew commented.

Major Investment Plans

Deye is part of Ningbo Deye Technology Co, a Chinese firm specializing in power inverters. The company has revealed plans to invest up to US$150 million in a Malaysian solar equipment manufacturing facility.

Ningbo Deye is an established high-tech company and a dominant force in the global solar inverter industry.
