8 Arrested for Drunk and Drug Driving in Johor Roadblock
Johor police detained eight people for DUI and drug-related driving offenses during a roadblock operation on Tuesday night.
Operation Targets Drunk and Drugged Drivers
JOHOR BARU: Eight individuals were arrested in Johor for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs at a roadblock conducted at Jalan Daya and Jalan Mutiara Emas Utama.
The “Ops Mabuk” Enforcement Action
The operation, carried out under “Ops Mabuk” on Tuesday (Nov 26) from 1am to 5am, led to six arrests for exceeding the legal alcohol limit and two for reckless driving and drug use.
Suspects Released on Bail and Legal Proceedings
The suspects were released on bail and will be summoned to court later.
Vehicle Inspections and Traffic Violations
A total of 116 individuals were inspected, and 97 vehicles were checked. The operation resulted in 40 traffic summonses for a range of offenses, including modified exhausts and running red lights.

ACP Raub highlighted that impaired driving not only breaks the law but also jeopardizes public safety, urging all road users to drive responsibly.
