The Concerned Father’s Search for His Daughter
PETALING JAYA: Police rescued a 15-year-old girl from her kidnappers and arrested seven suspects, including two women.
South Klang OCPD Asst Comm Cha Hoong Fong reported that the girl’s father filed a police report on November 18. He became alarmed after receiving a troubling voicemail from her phone. The girl had left home at 4pm, and by 6:30pm, she still hadn’t returned. Concerned, her father tried to call her.
Mysterious Messages Add to the Tension
The father received a message claiming his daughter had argued with a man. It instructed him to pick her up in Subang. However, when he arrived, she was not there. Later, another WhatsApp message informed him that she had been freed somewhere in Kuala Lumpur.
Police Operations Secure Rescue and Arrests
Police tracked the kidnappers to an apartment in i-City, Shah Alam, around 11pm. Officers found the girl unharmed and arrested five individuals, aged 15 to 19. They included three males and two females.
A second operation near Mid Valley Megamall resulted in the arrest of two additional suspects, aged 16 and 18. None of them had prior criminal records. All seven remain in custody as investigations continue.
